New Experiences Camp:The Sheriff's Department also runs a community summer camp, the "New Experiences Camp". The camp is open to students and runs for a week during July.Some of the program's main goals are: developing critical thinking skills, developing decision making skills, developing leadership skills promote respect of self and others, increase knowledge of the negative effects of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs and refusal and avoidance of drugs, and violence avoidance.
